Introduce us to your project!

We are Bangover from London, we play thrash and we love it. We have Andreas on vocals, Jack and Scott on guitars, Alex on the bass and Marco on the drums.

How did you start out?

The band formed in 2011 by original members Fionn and Andrzej, adding Jack to the line-up soon after. Scott joined in 2013 shortly followed by Comley. The line-up has changed a couple of times since but now we have the mighty Marco playing the drums and Andreas shouting.

Describe your project’s sound

Fast, heavy, fun shouty noise. Dental Health Thrash, shall we say.

What influences your craft?

We all love playing live and seeing that reaction from the crowd is a great feeling. It’s a tremendous motivator to better ourselves and the music.

What makes your project different?

There is a slight tongue in cheek quality to us. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, we cover lyrics and themes most others may not want to aha, but we take the music seriously and we’re passionate about it. We like people enjoying themselves and remembering our shows.

When introducing people to your music, what song should I show them first? What is your quintessential track?

Floss Or Die I guess would be the song that most people seem to know. Catchy chorus, fast, changing tempos. People seem to dig it!

What has been the biggest struggle in your career so far?

Trying to make a name for yourself in this day and age isn’t easy at all, I suppose that would be the biggest struggle. That or carrying all your equipment on coaches, some of that stuff is heavy!!

What has been the biggest highlight in your career so far?

Getting to the final of Metal To The Masses in London and winning an opportunity to play Bloodstock in 2017. Where we managed a circle pit around the whole Jagermeister stage. Unbelievable.

How bright is the future of your project – what are the plans?

The plan is to just keep going and really push the new album as far as we possibly can. Play more shows with bigger bands, build an audience!

When all is said and done, how would you like to be remembered?

Letting it all hang out and being the band that could always give you a damn good thrashing.
