1. Introduce us to your project!
TV COMA is a slick hot band full of cute guys that just want to dance and flick their hair. Our music is a lot like Weezer, but we’re just so much sexier. If you like bands that are always trying hard to be really cool and good then you will like how cool and good we are.
2. How did you guys start out?
We started as sperms racing through a mysterious void. We didn’t know who or where we were. Lost in the deep nothingness, we swam towards something that we believed may have given us hope. But there was no hope. There is no hope in eggs.
3. Describe your band’s sound.
A suicidal clown running at full speed towards a cliff. A hoover sucking up lots of glitter in a room full of rage. An orchestra of annoying mice squeaking right into your broken ear. A long dog getting on a table and dancing and woofing uncontrollably whilst you’re trying to just have a warm cup of tea and relax in your already very stressful world, but it’s just still there dancing and woofing and you want it to go away but it never ever will and it doesn’t stop. It will never stop.
4. What influences your craft?
When we sit down together that’s when the magic happens. All we need is, like, each other and the music, man. We write really deep shit man. Like totally, so deep. Like, we just like, totally think outside the box all the time. Like really far out, man. We take ourselves REALLY seriously and are always questioning the social structures, man. It’s all like commentary and everything. This is 2018, man.
5. What makes your band different? Why should people listen to you?
We wear really bright shining colours like The Muppets and make great jokes like Fozzie Bear who is such a great comedian we all love him so much. We’re trying to always write about how sad we are about living in St. Albans and eating really okay Waitrose food and drinking Lapsang Souchong and making kale shakes and staying hydrated. It’s really important to stay hydrated. You should listen really carefully to us because if you listen carefully enough you can hear little noises of us squawking and screaming our souls out in the background of our music. You will like it.
6. When introducing people to your music, what song should I show them first? What is your quintessential track?
Some people really like that one we do about the partying. We went to Batchwood nightclub once and had some really fun times there standing around in the rooms with lots of loud music and grinding happening around us. Great Saturday night out with friends. Also, that one where we all sing about the beautiful game of kicking the ball. Because the football match game is a very good one to sing song. Everyone likes the one where we do that.
7. What has been the biggest struggle in your career so far?
We missed a train back from Reading because Leo fell over and got lost. He ran around looking for the train and fell over again and then we needed to wait two hours for the next one. It’s fine now though because that’s all in the past now and you don’t need to experience the past again, because it’s already happened. So that’s okay.
8. What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
Our career has had its ups and downs, sometimes we’re right up there on something really really big. Then other times, we’re right down there like really really low down. But it’s always good to, like, stay positive, and keep an open mind, because if you got to do that then we are all going to be really okay.
9. How bright is the future of your project – what are the plans?
We will eclipse all other bands with our greatness, forcing everyone else to cower at our feet. They will build statues, we will be inside the pyramids, we will be on billboards in times square, our legs will move really quick and we will be everywhere all at once, so fast that no one will know where to look. One day we’re in Mexico, next we’re in your house, next we’re on the TV. TV COMA.
10. When all is said and done, how would you like to be remembered?
We want to be remembered as like four humble dudes playing some fundamentally necessary tunes, man.
