- Introduce us to your band!
We are the Fullbug from Tel-Aviv,
Lavy Josephsohn (Lead vocals & guitars)
Nadav dori (Guitars & vocals)
Assaf (Jessie) Dori (Drums)
- How did you guys start out?
We’ve been playing together for the past 5 years. In 2017 after writing and recording a few songs for a new EP, We decided to go under a new name, the Fullbug.
- Describe your band’s sound
We’re all about the big rock drums with loud and heavy guitar riffs.
We knew from the start that we want to keep it heavy but not metal, it’s tricky but possible.
- What influences your craft?
Life, Love and sometimes weed.
The long struggle to make music and trying to make it as a musician can bring you down at times, but other times it does give you the strength to carry on, Despite the reality of things.
We’re all about trying to find that new riff or new chorus and thrilled to go in the studio to work on a new song.
- What makes your band different? Why should people listen to you?
Maybe it’s different maybe not, but We write songs that we like to listen to.
Our songs revolve mostly around anger, disappointment, hard time letting go of the past and self-reflection. If you can relate to that, well, our condolences, you’re a human.
- When introducing people to your music, what song should I show them first? What is your quintessential track?
Most of the time, we’ll definitely recommend “Blood Bath”, We feel this song represents the core sound of the band very well.
- What has been the biggest struggle in your career so far?
For a band, It’s hard to find people with a common goal who don’t let life get in the way of their aspirations. In our case it’s a classic story of 1 step forward and two steps back. Every time something seemed to go our way, something bad happened, mostly band members leaving, in the worst time, like when the album is ready or right before we sign to a label, which made us lose the deal.
- What has been the biggest highlight in your career so far?
We’ve been playing music in bands for the past 10 years,
We had the privilege to release albums and play with bands we love. But at the end of the day what’s important is to have the ability to keep creating and recording music ($$$). Every time we get the chance to go in the studio to record is a new highlight for us.
- How bright is the future of your band – what are the Plans?
Our plans are to get our music out and kicking as much ass as possible!
We have two music videos in the making for the “Blackhole syndrome” EP and we’re trying to figure out a way to go on tour without going bankrupt. And well, we’re always working on new songs, at some point we’ll take the time to completely focus on our first LP.
- When all is said and done, how would you like to be Remembered?
As the band that revived rock n roll and then killed it again.
